C&C Horses Helping Horses Do Their Best
OUR TRAINERS
Chrissy
Chrissy has been involved with horses since she was little. Beginning to ride at a barn in the Guelph area shot her love for horses through the roof. She first learned how to ride English and competed in many schooling competitions and placing in most classes. Learning to jump these incredible and beautiful animals brought her self confidence to a new level. During her time in the Guelph area she then took a class in learning about the equine first aid. Learning all about "The Horse" in general and different things that can make a horse or pony unhappy again took her experience to another level. As Chrissy became more experienced with horses she soon began to help with breaking horses. A new challenge. Taking a break for a year to attend Police College in the London Ontario area was tough and soon was back into riding horses yet again. Riding at a Stable just on the north side of London she continued to jump horses. She eventually came to own her own horse, Mandy, who was an incredible horse. She worked with Mandy on a daily basis working on little things here and there and going on rides that she's never forget. Sadly that stable closed and Mandy found a new home. The fact that Chrissy did not have her horse was really crushing but it did not stop her from riding. She joined another Stable on the south side of London and continued to pursue her training in Jumping. There at the new barn she leased a mare, Classy. Again she had to give up her horse due to moving. Instead of giving up Chrissy decided that she was going to try Western riding and try the whole barrel racing, pole bending, down and back riding career. Finding it most enjoyable she rode at a barn about 30 minutes north of London Ontario. Learning to ride western was a big change and a big challenge but again she was up for it.
It didn't take long before Chrissy found she loved to ride english and went to a barn about 2 minutes north of the one she rode at before. Taking her competition to a whole new level and learning all about the Arabian breed she went far. She soon came to own her own horse again Tiana. Tiana was a flea bitten grey mare who she loved very very much and held her very close to her heart. In the summer of 2012 Tiana ad Chrissy took to two different Saddle clubs, Zone One Arabian Horse Club out of Dorchester Ontario and the Exeter Saddle Club out of Exeter Ontario. Winning 5 first place ribbons 3 second place ribbons 4 third place ribbons 1 fourth and 1 fifth place ribbon took them by surprise. They won an award in the Exeter Saddle Club in February of 2013 for that super year.
In the winter of 2013 Chrissy was helping Caleb, our other trainer, with his horse Buck. Buck was a 4 year old thoroughbred Gelding who had never been handled before us. Caleb and Chrissy worked together as a team having lessons and working everyday with Buck really has its bonuses. In less than two months Caleb was on his horse riding him around and Buck hadn't a care in the world.
Congratulations Caleb on your new Steed!
Caleb
Caleb being introduced to horses at a later date than Chrissy has shown huge strides and has picked up on so many different ways to effectively work with horses. Caleb became involved with horses in the year 2012 with Chrissy by going on trail rides with Chrissy and friends and attending lessons and shows. Being her main support he has picked up a lot of what Chrissy has learned herself. Now owing, breaking and working with his own horse has taken his own level of experience to a whole new level. Caleb's love for horses has also began to shine. Taking every moment very seriously with his new Steed Buck both of them are coming along at an incredible rate.
Caleb first got Buck at the beginning of the year 2013 and by the end of January he was on and riding him around. Countless numbers of hours and hard and dedicated work has proven itself worthy. Buck has a new best friend to whom he calls every morning and every evening before he goes to work and after when he returns home. Caleb has learned lots of different ways that horses express themselves and is able to work around each feeling. Caleb is a dedicated trainer who loves working with the horses.
Caleb is hoping to be able to show Buck soon. With his determination and willingness anything can happen!
